WWWOAH!

WWWOAH! is a gallery for the handcrafted website. Celebrating expressive, playful and experimental interactive experiences. The original design was inspired by the look of internet memes. Which would later inform how the interface looks and reacts to the user. With my background in motion design, creating social posts has become a fun branch off of this project. These posts would usually be a sample of the chosen websites for the week, along with a separate promo animation that would point people towards the website. Throughout history, design tends to be something like a pendulum. Swinging from 'clean and functional' to 'wild and expressive'. WWWOAH! is an attempt to capture this backlash.
