SAD Secrets emoji

I collaborated with art director Pamela Rounis to design the back cover and a promotional campaign for the “Secrets” themed issue of SAD Mag. We developed a secret code based around icons that were both emoji and references to the articles in the issue. After illustrating multiple sketchy emoji, I developed it as a font (rather than a collection of images) so anyone could write out messages and then “encode” them, and have them automatically swap to continue to appear sketched. Then, visitors could decode messages or make their own on the SAD Mag site.
