Artists of Addis

Ashenafe Mestika, Birhabne Worede, and Dan Girma all attend The Alle School of Fine Arts: Ethiopia’s only art school founded by the late artist Alle Felege Selam. Like his country, he has witnessed many ups and downs. Art empowers us to change that narrative as there is so much more to say about this ancient, complex, and creative nation. These men talk about their love for their art, what inspires them, and where they would like to see themselves in the future. Knowing the lack of being seen, their dreams of being bigger international artists continue to prevail.
