Vans Ice Dream

Production and creation for client Vans. Ice Cream Shoppe by day with a hidden fridge door to speakeasy. With the intimate setting of a small ice cream shoppe we were able to create an environment that people could walk around and appreciate the little details.

The neon bar sign transitioned from ‘Ice Cream Bar’ to blinking just ‘bar' above the Big Chill faux fridge door entrance once nighttime hit. The records on the wall had custom labels with album art featuring team riders and brand-specific wording. Mixed in with vintage advertisements and found artwork, we incorporated photography from the snowboard team, patina'd to blend in seamlessly. Hand-painted signs created a time-specific atmosphere. The brand identity incorporated both the Vans sidestripe along with a subtle mountain and, of course, Steve Van Doren as the Ice Cream Man.
