Kodawari Restaurant Collaboration

Kodawari sells life-changing gyudon and shroomdon trays based in the Philippines. Inspired by anime, art and good food, I was invited to create fan art inspired by the Kodawari experience. The final product is an anime-title-card-inspired artwork that is surreal, vibrant and dynamic, aiming to capture the explosive yet balanced flavors of their gyudon and shroomdon trays.

Kodawari, to me, is shoujo anime in a tray where the four princes of Beef, Mushroom, Rice and Egg serve as the guardians of Kodawari KingDon. This love polygon shoujo (manga targeted for girls) highlights the distinctive charm of each of my four prince friends fighting for my love as I choose my ultimate taste bud. While each of them are unique, all of them maintain the balance of the Kodawari KingDon to keep it in its harmonious, delicious and dreamy state.
