Dream Basketball Court

I envisioned my dream basketball court and designed it the way I wanted it to be. I wanted to imagine a space that would encourage play, warmth and belongingness--hoping to take away the feeling of intimidation in the sport.
There is something entertaining to me about the contrast between the grit, aggression and competitiveness behind the sport and the softness of the visual language that I want to pursue. In a way, I want to show that there is strength and beauty in softness too. I want people to look at this project and say "This doesn't really make sense, but I would love to play basketball in that court." Those are the experiments that I like exploring—things that people least expect and think about, made possible.
