Earthy Encounters

15-year-old Kyle believes he can save his dying older brother with a plant he's found at the back of a garden centre. Problem is, there's a shadowy government agency out to destroy it first.

The first short film ever to be shot on the 65mm Arri Alexa 65 camera. Made through Creative England & the BFI’s emerging talent scheme.

Earthy Encounters has been selected for a number of Oscar and Bafta qualifying festivals including Tribeca Film Festival and Hollyshorts, as well as Dublin International Film Festival where it won the ‘Fantastic Flix Best Short Film’ award, and Newport Beach Film Festival where it won the award for ‘Best Family Film’. In total it has played at over 40 festivals.
