NYU Skirball

The Skirball Center for the Performing Arts at New York University is downtown Manhattan’s premier cultural center. With a new artistic director, NYU Skirball needed a new identity to capture the vibrancy of the center’s upcoming programming.

The bold, new identity system evokes the days when Washington Square was home to American avant-garde. Overscale graphics bomb the architecture with a bit of downtown anarchy, and the brash look and feel carries through to a season brochure, printed on an impromptu, ‘zine-like newsprint.
