Pather Panchali
Translated the poster for Satyajit Ray's Indian Bengali-language masterpiece পথের পাঁচালী (Pather Panchali), the first film of his acclaimed Apu trilogy. The orignal Bengali title was rendered in a low-contrast cursive style based on handwritten forms. I studied the script and internalized the rhythm to come up with Bengali-esque shapes for his P, a, and e, closely match the original composition.
